1. Contact UPS Customer Service to request a "Ratings Sheet" from UPS to see the breakdown of charges 

   • They may say that they cannot provide a detailed breakdown until it's paid, but you are rightfully entitled to understand what you are paying for BEFORE paying.  You may need to push them on this.
      

2. Verify the details 

   • Tariffs should only be charged against the products in the order, ie: the cost of the kit(s) or accessories ordered

   • Carriers sometimes include the shipping cost in the tariff calculation, however shipping costs are not applicable to tariffs/fees.  

3. Ensure they've classified it correctly 

   • It should be classified as an "aluminum luggage rack", using Tariff/HS code: 76169910

   • Tariffs should be applied based on the current rate, see: https://hts.usitc.gov/search?query=76169910

4. If UPS is requesting a Section 232 OR USMCA form
